Walk with the Church through this holy season of longing! Here at St. Catherine’s, we will have diverse opportunities to help you tune your heart to the mystery of God’s coming.
Advent Vigil Night of Prayer
Saturday, December 2, 7 – 9 PM
Drawing from prayer traditions of both the Christian West and East, Rome and Byzantium, we will be “breathing with both lungs of the Church” in joyful expectation of the Messiah. The night will consists of Adoration, the prayer of the psalms, meditation on ancient Advent readings, and a powerful 6th century Byzantine chant named Akathist to the Theotokos. See more details on Facebook.
Psalms, Readings, and Adoration
Monday, December 4, 7 – 8 PM
Come, meditate on the Scripture and the ancient Church writers in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Tuesday, December 5, 7 – 9 PM
What better way to make your heart ready for Christmas than to go to confession? We will have multiple priests available that night to make sure that everybody can experience God’s healing presence through the sacrament of reconciliation.

Neighborhood Interfaith Christmas
Sunday, December 17, 12 PM
Join us for the third annual Neighborhood Interfaith Christmas with the LDS University Ward. Next, we will move over to the LDS social hall for a potluck lunch and networking. We need volunteers to provide soups and deserts! If you would like to help, please contact Angie at [email protected]
