Several adult groups have been meeting over the past year to discuss books about faith and share with one another. The groups are small and enjoy the conversation, not to mention the occasional glass of wine. Last year they read a book about St. Thérèse of Lisieux, a book and accompanying video series on the Gospel of John, and a book on living a life of prayer from an English Dominican. Right now, they’re reading “Jesus of Nazareth: From the Baptism in the Jordan to the Transfiguration” by Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI). These lively discussions give our parishioners a chance to not just learn from some amazing writers, but also grapple with Catholic concepts and grow in faith with one another. It’s fellowship and faith formation, friendship and spiritual growth. A new book and invitation to join or start a group will be coming in a few months – look for it in the bulletin.
