Every liturgy is an exercise of the priestly office of Jesus Christ, Head and members. When the Church gathers for liturgy, we become a visible sign of the Body of Christ. All members of the Church have been made priestly people through Baptism; therefore all are copresiders with Christ. All are called to “full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations”. (See Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, # 7 and # 16.)
Liturgical Ministers are drawn from the community, trained by the parish, and commissioned to serve with the sincere devotion and decorum expected of them by God’s holy people.
These include:

Led by Jeanette Ducut-Sigala, the 10:45am Music Liturgy group is a vibrant, reverent, faith-filled ministry. We are dedicated to sharing our talents & time, in loving service, to give Glory to God at the Eucharistic Liturgy! If the Holy Spirit compels, come join us and "be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and playing to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks always and for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father." (Ephesians 5: 18-20)

Art and Environment is the ministry that adorns our worship space with the outward signs of the eight liturgical seasons in the Church calendar: Advent, Christmas, Lent, Palm Sunday, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost and Ordinary Time. Each of these seasons requires a specific color as well as the presence or absence of certain liturgical objects that symbolically evoke the spirit and meaning of a given season.
Ten to fifteen people are needed to execute each of the various changes to the chapel environment appropriate for that season. Each season thus brings with it an exceptional opportunity for participating members of the parish to deepen their experience of the life of Christ being celebrated during a particular season. At the same time, those carrying out the changes are gifting their fellow parishioners with the aesthetic elements that bring them closer to the Savior’s time on earth.

Altar linens are always purified before they are washed. A member of the community takes home the the linens every week to purify, launder, and iron the altar linens, and to launder the other linens and towels. People are scheduled by month to take care of this ministry.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.' No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:35-39
If you are arranging a funeral, here are the steps you may consider:
1. You can talk to Sarah Monette, our Church Secretary, about meeting with a priest to arrange the time, place, and liturgical format of the funeral rites.
2. If you have arranged everything with a funeral home, you can ask them to contact us directly so that you do not have to repeat this information.
3. The priest can help you plan the celebration of the funeral Mass and/or burial. While we do not have a resident music director, we can put you in touch with some musicians in our community who could provide music at the funeral, depending on their availability.
4. Our Caring Ministry is capable of providing emotional support and hospitality for you, your family, and your friends. If you meet with a priest, inform him that you would like more information about how the Caring Ministry can serve you. You can also contact Sarah.
