I first came to St. Catherine's from Pennsylvania in 1997 when I started graduate school at the University of Utah. Almost immediately, I began playing guitar with the"praise and worship" mass at the time, and I continue to participate in the music ministry. My two children were baptized at Newman, attended throughout childhood, and now attend Judge Memorial Catholic High School. What has always drawn me to St. Catherine's is the energy of the Dominican-led mission to the university and parish. We have amazing fellowship, community, and service opportunities, as well as some of the most thoughtful and knowledgeable preaching around. At this point in time, my wife Suzanne and I are most concerned with deepening our faith and experience of the mystical liturgy, and we are very thankful for our learned Dominican spiritual leadership. I hope to bring to Parish Council a knowledge of St. Catherine's history as well as a positive outlook for all of the ways we can be a shining light of deep Catholic faith for our Salt Lake community.
