Mondays at 7:45pm in the Chapel (after Mass)
Want to enter more deeply into Mass? Sing!
Gather with other students and young adults of our community after the 7pm Mass on Monday to learn to pray in the liturgy. This isn't joining a choir, and it's not exactly practice or rehearsal. You don't have to have any music experience, or have any previous experience singing.
This Fall semester we will discover more Taize chants and start looking at the Gregorian Chant history of the Church. Discover a new way to pray at Mass.
Tuesdays at 7:45pm in Cate's Café (after Mass)
A study of the encyclical Redemptor Hominis of Pope St. John Paul II with Fr. Jacek.
Wednesdays at 7:45pm in Cate's Café (after Mass)
Over the course of the semester we will read (together, no outside reading required) and discuss the entire Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, starting with the Inferno.
Registration required, click here. Books are provided free to U of U students, and provided for purchase for young adults.
Thursdays at 7:45pm in Cate's Café (after Mass)
A reading seminar with Fr. Cody on The Sources of Christian Morality by Servais Pinckaers, OP.
What does it mean to live and act in a truly human, Christian, way? What are the sources for living the life of Catholic faith? Beginning with St. Paul and St. Augustine, we explore the recently-forgotten sources for what it means to follow Christ and live in him.
Texts provided (bring a laptop or tablet), no outside reading required.
